A used Toyota is a wise choice if you are in the market for a bargain automobile. They are usually good value, reliable and efficient. To make sure a sweet deal won't turn into a sour lemon run a complete history on the car. A used Toyota might last for many years, provided it was used, not abused. After all – you are looking for a car in its prime, or – at worse – in a fit middle age. What you don't want is a car that has been literally salvaged from the scrap yard and given just the right amount of plastic surgery! If it's done right you want notice until a few days or weeks later. So – get a detailed history of your used Toyota. There are companies that will do this for you. For a fee they will pull up any information on your used Toyota they can get their hands on. Don't expect a full PI report with pictures, but you'll get the essentials, like title branding, lemon law buybacks, odometer fraud, recalls, improper maintenance and collision damage. You'll also find out if the used Toyota was ever a rental, a police or emergency services vehicle, or even a taxi.
